My cat was spayed a week ago, now there is a large bulge where the stitches are, is this normal?
She doesn't act like she's in pain, and the incision doesn't look infected, but the bulge keeps getting larger, it's about the size of an English walnut right now, but it doesn't feel hard, should I be worried?
Yes, worry.
There shouldn't be any bulges after a week. If it did bulge in the first few days, it should be gone by now.
What could it be?
~Probably pus. Cat wounds get infected surprisingly easily, and they can produce their weight in pus in a very short time. This can be dangerous. Infection spreads quickly.
~Fluid. The body produces a liquid to protect the organs, and sometimes, after surgery, the body gets "confused" and produces too much for a short time. It's not as bad as the other 2 I mention, but if it can dehydrate them, and you need to rule out the other possibilities.
~Intestines that have fallen through the internal stitches and are resting on the inside of the skin. This is BAD NEWS!
So, basically, you need to get to a vet ASAP. This is an emergency.
