My exotic shorthair cat spends most of the time with her tongue sticking out. Is this a breed thing?
She looks quite funny, and a little weird and sometimes she seems to do it on purpose. I have friends with Persian cats, also have flat face as exotic, but their cats don't do this.
Could it just be her personality?
It's a breed fault that some Persians and Exotics can have due to their short faces. My adopted Exotic, Penny, does the same thing. She kinda forgets to put her tongue away after grooming. There's no real harm in this but if she was a show cat she'd be faulted for this.
