Wood Carving for beginners?
My boyfriend has recently bought a set of Wood Carving Chisels and has some wood, but we've both been struggling to find any relevant literature or dvds to show him the technique, he hasnt got a lathe, so it would not be for that Type Of Wood carving.
Does anyone know where you could get appropriate books for beginners or dvds?
(we live in the uk, so american sites/references may not be any help...thankyou!)
Look at Lee Valley. They offer a variety of beginners' books and DVDs. They are an international company, when you first enter their website you have to choose the country you live in, so I would assume the DVDs are formatted for the country you choose.
They sell many carver sets from beginner to expert, and tools to ensure your carvers maintain their blade edge and quality. I bought many items from Lee Valley and have never been disappointed, with the exception of maybe not being able to afford some of their higher end products.
