please help me with my textiles!?
I have some questions i cannot answer:
1-name two differn't ways of adding colour to your product. give one advantage and one disadvantage.
2-give two reasons why a design team would make a prototype.
3- how do computers help with quality control.
4- how do computers check on components in stock.
5-what are the dangers of industrial sewing machines, and how can they be prevented.
6- give two smart fabrics, and there special features and what there both used for.
7- explain why some textiles products are packaged before going to the shops.
please help with any of these, i have 40 to answer and these are the ones i am stuck on. please help, ill be so greatful
1. Stitch. Levi went from the chain stitch to a lock stitch in most clothing design. Now they are going back to the chains stitch in some "high end" clothes because the chain stitch is appealing in looks to some people. The chain stitch is not as effective in my opinion. If the ends of the stitches get frayed then it wont be long before the entire stitch unravels.
2. To see how the product is made, figure out all of the steps taken to make the product (production line/time frame/raw material cost/ labor cost). Also to see any changes that may need to be done.
3. Computers can do spreadsheets with formulas to compare, and help limit, the wasted items....to figure out where the quality is lacking....what operation. Then engineers can come in and help resolve the issue. Computers can also help make cut-out patterns to use on the cutting table. Most QA control comes from the QA him/herself. Most quality control is operator error, which no computer has control over.
4. Like in question 3....spreadsheets. They have systems that automatically create orders when certain items get low in stock.
