Is it easy to change the spring in a sectional garage door?
I have a sectional (roll-up) garage door and one of the two cylindrical springs has broken. Is this something I can replace easily? Or do I need to call in a handyman? Should I replace both springs?
It's a Stanley garage door and the springs are likely at least 10 years old.
This is a job for professionals. You can seriously damage yourself or your house (the springs are giant energy stores). My garage door literally has warning stickers all over it telling you not to fool w/the springs.
Hiring someone to do this is relatively inexpensive (certainly cheaper than a hospital bill, or fixing hole in your house caused by an exploding spring)

US $2.99
