I am building a 6'wood fence, but my ground is not level. How do I make sure that my boards or even??
1) Install first board.
2) Install last board.
3) Put nail (or screw) into the very top of each and stretch a string tight between the nails about a quarter inch above top of each board.
4) Install all the boards in between with about a quarter inch between top of board and string.
You may have to compensate the height of the first and last board according to the height of the ground in between so you don't have any of your boards in the dirt or too high off the ground.
